Control your load and monitor its readings in eWeLink

POWR3 combines switching a compatible load on and off with voltage, current, and power readings over Wi-Fi. Monitor energy and control the power supply from the eWeLink app after correct installation.

Control and energy monitoring together

Use remote control and energy monitoring for loads suitable for the unit’s rating, with the option to set and test a switch-off time in eWeLink.

Understand consumption, not just switching

View live voltage, current and power, and review energy records to compare working hours with standby periods. You can also start a measurement over a period you choose to compare a compatible appliance before and after changing how it is used.

Schedules, countdowns and shared control

Alongside fixed schedules, eWeLink supports countdowns and repeating on/off cycles. Share the device with family accounts, or link your account to a supported voice platform such as Alexa or Google Home to switch the load on and off.

Adjustable monitoring thresholds

OPS settings let you set limits for load parameters; the switch cuts the supply when a set threshold is exceeded. This is an additional electronic function for monitoring voltage, current and power, not a replacement for circuit protection against short circuits or current leakage.

What you need to operate it

  • A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and the eWeLink app; no Zigbee gateway is needed, and control from outside the home requires internet access.
  • Live and neutral wiring by a qualified electrician after disconnecting the power supply, with a load suitable for the unit’s limits.

Where can POWR3 be useful?

  • A room or small-office circuit: Monitor the circuit’s total consumption during working hours, and switch off non-essential loads at closing time if it is safe to disconnect them.
  • A compatible resistive electric heater: Schedule its power supply and compare energy use after checking the heater rating, wiring and protection. The switch does not replace the thermostat or the heater’s safety devices.
  • Shop or workshop lighting: Schedule a suitable lighting circuit on and off, and review how changes in operating hours affect consumption.
  • Testing consumption habits: Measure a defined period, then compare it with a similar period after changing the schedule. The comparison offers a practical indication, not a guaranteed percentage saving.

These examples depend on load compatibility. When several appliances share one circuit, their combined reading is shown; POWR3 does not automatically separate each appliance’s consumption within that circuit.

What is the difference between power, energy and cost?

Power in watts shows what the load is drawing now, while energy in kilowatt-hours represents consumption accumulated over time. The history helps reveal consumption outside normal usage hours. You can enter an electricity tariff in the app to estimate cost; the result depends on the tariff you set and is not a bill issued by the electricity provider.

Local control and smart-home integration

Supports local-network on/off control when the phone and device use the same router. Access from outside the network and cloud integration require a suitable internet connection. Local control does not mean every history, notification and platform service works without internet.

This model uses Wi-Fi and eWeLink; it is not a native Matter or Zigbee device. Voice control uses supported integrations, and energy readings should not be assumed to appear in every third-party app.

Important questions before buying

Does 5500 W mean it suits any air conditioner or pump?

No. Current and power ratings alone are not enough to assess inductive loads or starting current. An electrician must review the actual load specifications and control method before selection.

Can it replace the utility meter or protective circuit breaker?

Its purpose is control and consumption monitoring; it is not presented here as a certified billing meter or a replacement electrical protective breaker.

What happens after a power outage?

The app lets you set the power-on state to on, off or retain the previous state. Review and test this setting with the load. The unit uses a normally closed relay, so do not rely on an off command or a device failure to keep the circuit isolated.

Switch off a suitable load at a set time

When: The scheduled switch-off time is reached.

Action: Switch off the switch’s output.

What you need to get started

  • Set up and test the schedule in eWeLink.
  • A suitable load, correct wiring, and a continuous power supply.

Usage notes

  • Do not use the schedule instead of protective measures or for loads that must remain running.

Usage guidance

Match the load type and starting current

Review the load type, its starting current, and suitable protection before installation. The stated maximum of 25 A / 5500 W does not imply suitability for any motor or air conditioner.

Electrical isolation and protection

The electrician must disconnect the power supply before working; software-controlled disconnection does not replace isolation, circuit breakers, or the required circuit-protection measures.
