Matter over Wi-Fi EU Standard 1/2/3 Push Button Wi-Fi 2.4GHz requires Neutral (N)
Compatible with: Apple Home (HomeKit) , Google Home , and SmartThings (requires a Matter-enabled hub/controller) . Supports voice control via Siri , Google Assistant , and Bixby . Also works with the Zemismart app.
Note: Alexa is not currently supported according to the specifications mentioned (until the testing/update phase is complete).
Key Features
- Matter Compatibility: The next-generation smart home standard for wider compatibility between devices and systems.
- Control via apps: Manage lighting from anywhere via system apps (Apple Home / Google Home / SmartThings).
- Voice control: Touchless voice commands via Siri, Google Assistant and Bixby.
- Fast response: A large physical button (Push Button) for a clear and fast “click” experience.
- European installation: A design suitable for standard European boxes and gives a neat appearance on the wall.
- A neutral wire (N) is required: necessary to power the Wi-Fi circuit and ensure stable operation of the switch.
Electrical warning: If your house/apartment has an old wiring without a neutral wire inside the switch box, do not install it directly. The solution is to have an electrician (pull the neutral wire from the nearest point) or choose a model that supports "without neutral" if available.
Ideal for
Bedrooms, living rooms, offices, and modern smart homes — especially if you want to unify control with one system instead of multiple applications.
Devices required to properly activate Matter
For Matter to function fully within your system, you need a device/hub that acts as a Matter Controller . ( Thread support is only useful for “Matter over Thread” devices—this key is Wi-Fi ).
| order | The device | Supported protocols | Additional details |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apple | HomePod Mini / HomePod 2 / Apple TV 4K | Matter, Thread | Control via Siri, Thread support, works as a local hub within Apple Home. |
| Nest Hub (2nd Gen) / Nest Hub Max / Nest Wifi Pro | Matter, Thread | Google Assistant support; some routers function as Thread Border Routers. | |
| Amazon | Echo (4th Gen) / Echo Show 8 (Gen 3) / Eero Routers | Matter, Thread | Control via Alexa, Thread support on some models, local control. |
| Samsung SmartThings | SmartThings Station / Hub v3 / Dongle | Matter, Thread, Zigbee, Wi-Fi | A unified platform for multiple devices, connecting old and new devices. |
| Aqara | Hub M3 / Hub M2 / Hub E1 / Camera Hub G3 | Matter, Thread, Zigbee | Matter Bridge, Matter support updates via OTA. |
| SwitchBot | Hub 2 / Hub Mini | Matter (Wi-Fi) | It supports linking traditional SwitchBot devices (locks/curtains) within Matter. |

| Homey | Homey Pro (2023) / Homey Pro Mini | Matter, Thread, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Bluetooth | Ideal for complex homes and advanced integrations. |
| IKEA | Dirigera Hub | Matter, Zigbee | A simple and easy center for IKEA TRÅDFRI appliances and more. |
| Philips Hue | Hue Bridge | Matter (Bridge), Zigbee | It supports Hue lighting via Bridge to Matter, but does not support Thread. |

| TP-Link (Tapo/Kasa) | Tapo H100 / Deco X50/X10 | Matter, Zigbee (Limited) | Some devices support Matter, and expansion is ongoing with updates. |
| Home Assistant | Home Assistant OS / SkyConnect / Yellow | Matter, Thread, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Bluetooth | An open system that supports local control and very strong integrations. |
Quick summary: If you have an Apple TV 4K , HomePod , Nest Hub , or SmartThings Hub — you're probably ready for Matter. The “Wi-Fi” switch doesn't need a Thread, but it does need the Matter Controller within the system.
Installation tip: Before purchasing/installing, make sure there is an N (neutral) wire inside the switch box + that there is a Matter Controller within your system.
