Zemismart 3-Phase Smart Energy Meter (120A)

The reliable global solution for energy monitoring. Industrial accuracy and stable performance from the leading brand, Zemismart.

Global Zemismart Quality

This device is manufactured to the highest quality standards to ensure accurate readings (Class 1.0) and long-term connectivity stability, making it the top choice for professionals.

High Load Monitoring

Supports current up to 120A per phase via external clamps, covering the needs of large homes and commercial projects without the need to modify main cables.

Flexible Integration (Zigbee)

Connects to the Tuya Smart / Smart Life app via a Tuya Zigbee gateway and can be integrated with Home Assistant using a compatible Zigbee coordinator and Zigbee2MQTT. Available readings vary depending on the device version and firmware.

Operating Requirements:

  • A Zigbee Hub is required to connect the device to the app.
  • The Neutral line must be connected for the device to operate.
  • Ensure current transformers (CTs) are installed according to the arrow direction to correctly read power (consumption/export).

Box Contents:

Zemismart Smart Meter + 3 Current Transformers (CTs).

Note: The Hub is sold separately.

What can you monitor?

View Voltage (V), Current (A), and instantaneous Power (W) per phase, along with total power and cumulative energy consumption (kWh). Comparing phases helps in understanding load distribution and identifying high consumption.

Power in Watts reflects the current load, while energy in kWh reflects cumulative consumption over time.

Bi-directional Energy Measurement

Supports measurement of both consumed energy and reverse-flowing energy, which is useful for monitoring import and export in solar energy systems. Directional accuracy depends on the correct installation of the CTs.

Integration with Home Assistant

Zigbee2MQTT documentation lists the SDM01 device with voltage, current, and power readings per phase, imported/exported energy, power factor, and grid frequency. Power per phase and its power factor may also be available depending on device firmware and integration support. A compatible Zigbee coordinator and Zigbee2MQTT setup are required; these capabilities do not imply direct Wi-Fi connectivity.

Version Selection and Installation

  • The SDM01-TZ0-12 model is a Zigbee version with three 120A clamps with a 16mm aperture. This version does not include RS485 / Modbus.
  • The datasheet confirms support for 3-phase with neutral (3P+N) systems, as well as monitoring up to three single-phase branches according to the installation diagram. It is not suitable for 3P3W systems without neutral.
  • Each clamp channel must correspond to its respective phase, ensuring correct energy flow direction and that the clamp is fully closed. The clamps are matched to the meter's calibration ID.
  • Install inside a suitable enclosure on a 35mm DIN rail. Electrical connections must be performed by a qualified professional in accordance with the device manual.

Important Notes and Warnings

Zemismart mentions an alarm function; details and settings depend on the app and device version. The alarm function does not imply automatic load disconnection, and the meter should not be used as a substitute for a circuit breaker.

Technical limits may vary between manufacturing batches; verify values printed on the device and its manual when selecting operating voltage and installation conditions.
