Important note: This sensor works via Zigbee and does not work directly over Wi-Fi. A Tuya-compatible Zigbee gateway is required for readings to appear within the Tuya/Smart Life app and for automation to function.

“Smart Farmer” Tip: If the soil is close to the router but far from the gateway, remember that Zigbee relies on the gateway, not Wi-Fi. Move the gateway closer to the garden or add a Zigbee device to the electrical outlet (like a smart plug) as a repeater to extend coverage.

Quick setup

- Insert the sensor into the soil and monitor the readings, then create a scene: “If moisture is less than X → Turn on irrigation.”
