Start with clear steps
- Set up Homey Pro: Power on the device and follow the setup steps in the Homey app.
- Add wired connection: Connect the short Ethernet adapter cable to the power adapter, then the USB-C cable from Homey Pro to the adapter, and connect the network cable to the Ethernet port.
- Add Homey Bridge: Turn it on and open the devices section in the Homey app to add it in Satellite Mode, then choose a suitable location in your home.
- Connect your devices: Check the supporting app for each model, add it, and then create the Flow or Advanced Flow rules that suit you.
Compatibility and usage notes
It uses US Z-Wave frequencies; ensure your Z-Wave devices match this version. The 433 MHz transmission is disabled in the US version.
- Support for a specific protocol does not guarantee compatibility with all devices that use it; check your device model in the Homey App Store.
- Homey Bridge requires Wi-Fi and internet at startup for authentication, then it connects to Homey Pro via the local network.
- Satellite Mode boosts the Zigbee and Z-Wave network within the same location; it does not extend it to a separate building via Wi-Fi. Coverage is affected by walls and device placement.
- Functions relying on cloud services require an internet connection. The main bundle image is illustrative; official images of the components are available in the gallery.
