Bring your tank level into your smart home
Follow your water tank through Tuya Smart or Smart Life. Mounted above the water, this ultrasonic sensor measures the surface distance without contact and displays the level, making everyday water use and filling easier to follow.
Zigbee connection
Connect through a compatible Tuya Zigbee hub. A hub is required and is not included.
Contactless measurement
Measure distances from 10 cm to 2.5 m between sensor and water. Keep the measurement path clear.
High and low alerts
Choose level thresholds and configure app notifications to follow changes that matter to you.
Tank-specific setup
Enter mounting height and full level in the app. Add a suitable sensor to each additional tank for multiple-tank monitoring.
What you need to get started
- A Tuya Smart or Smart Life compatible Zigbee hub.
- DC 9V power; keep the adapter and connections dry and protected.
- Internet access for the hub to provide remote monitoring and notifications.
- At least 10 cm clearance above full water level; separate hardware for pump control.

Set up for a stable reading
- Mount straight above the water, away from the inlet and tank wall.
- Pair with the hub, then enter mounting distance and full level in the app.
- Set notifications and verify readings at different levels. Use for monitoring, not as a replacement for independent overflow protection.
Questions to help you choose
Does it connect directly to Wi-Fi?
It uses Zigbee and needs a compatible hub to connect to the app.
Should the sensor touch water?
Keep it above the water, with at least 10 cm clearance when full.
Does it operate a pump automatically?
It measures and alerts. Pump control requires separate compatible equipment and appropriate configuration.
