What you need to get started
- 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi near the display and internet access for remote monitoring and notifications.
- 5V DC power for both sensor and display; wireless refers to the data connection.
- A sensor-to-water distance within the 10 cm to 3 m measuring range.

Set up for a stable reading
- Mount above the tank, aimed vertically at the water, clear of the inlet and obstructions.
- Keep at least 10 cm between the sensor and the highest water level.
- Place the display in a dry location with Wi-Fi coverage, connect power and add the device to Tuya.
- Set tank height and alert thresholds, then compare the reading with the actual water level.
Questions to help you choose
Does the tank need Wi-Fi coverage?
The probe uses LoRa to reach the display. Wi-Fi coverage is needed at the display.
Can it directly power a pump?
It monitors levels and sends alerts. Pump control needs a compatible controller and suitable electrical equipment.
Is the display IP67 too?
The IP67 rating applies to the probe. Keep the display and power supply dry and protected.
